Support for birth parents

We have commissioned Barnardo's Connecting Adoptive Families Independent Service (CAFIS) to provide independent and confidential support to birth parents in Bexley, Kent and Medway.

If your child is going to be adopted, CAFIS can:

• help you to understand the adoption process
• provide you with practical and emotional support
• explain how you can be involved in the adoption process
• answer any questions you may have.

You may be nervous about getting in touch, but CAFIS can connect you with other birth parents who can talk about the support they received before you decide to get support yourself.
